Chelsea vs Newcastle 2nd May 2012 Live

Chelsea will still be without injured defensive duo David Luiz and Gary Cahill in midweek.

But Branislav Ivanovic returns from suspension and is likely to partner John Terry at the heart of the Blues' back four

Di Matteo has refused to rule Cahill and Luiz out of Saturday's FA Cup final against Liverpool, but will not risk them against the Magpies.

Danny Simpson is Newcastle's only fresh injury concern.

The right-back picked up a minor ankle problem in the defeat at Wigan, but is expected to make the game at Stamford Bridge.

Wingers Gabriel Obertan (ankle) and Sylvain Marveaux (groin) will travel after returning to training, but midfielder Sammy Ameobi (knee) is still working his way back to full match fitness and central defender Steven Taylor (Achilles) remains on the sideline

Live Commentary Chelsea 0 V Newcastle 0 Kick off 6.45am NZ, 19.45 BST

10 mins: Torres with some great work and turns with an arcing run, centering it to Sturridge who should have done better - you'd expect better. A real chance. VIDEO UP SOON.
7 mins: David Santon with a long, ranging run and he's allowed the shot but legs get in the way. No real danger though he was given plenty of space.

3 mins: Early yellow card for Cheick Tiote for a clumsy challenge on Torres. Free kick 10 yards outside the box. Sturridge and Meireles over it... don't usually say that about free kicks. Meireles it is and it's bread and butter for Krul.

2 mins: Torres gets in behind but Tim Krul is out from his line super fast and kills and chance by forcing Torres wide. though a better first touch and we may have had our first goal.

1 mins: Newcastle began the season as a 100:1 shot of finishing in the top four and here they are vying for it... Meireles with the first strike for Chelsea but it's well over. VIDEO UP.

Teams have shaked hands… ref blows whistle for the captains to come in and we are moments away…
